In short

  • QuickConverter converts bank and credit-card statements into QuickBooks-compatible imports. The conversion runs entirely in your browser — your statements are never uploaded to us.
  • Every new subscription starts with a 30-day free trial. Cancel any time during the trial and you are never charged.
  • After the trial, your subscription renews automatically each billing period through Stripe until you cancel. Cancel in seconds from Account → Subscription → Cancel Subscription.
  • Post-trial payments are final. We do not offer routine refunds after the trial, but we make accommodations when it is fair to do so — just ask at support@quickconverter.app.
  • We own the site and the Service; you keep all rights to your statements, your data, and your books.

Effective: September 2026. This version replaces all previous versions of our Terms of Service. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.

Contents

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and A Robot Can Dream (“we”, “us”, “our”). They govern your access to and use of quickconverter.app and the services we provide through it (the “Service”).

By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and the refund and cancellation policy in Section 10. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If these documents ever conflict, the refund policy in Section 10 governs refunds, the Privacy Policy governs personal data, and these Terms govern everything else.

2. Who we are

QuickConverter.app is operated by A Robot Can Dream, Huntington Beach, CA 92649, USA. Questions about these Terms go to info@quickconverter.app. Account, billing, and refund questions go to support@quickconverter.app.

3. The service

QuickConverter converts bank and credit-card statements into files you can import into QuickBooks. Parsing and conversion run entirely in your web browser — your statements are never uploaded to us.

Optionally, you can save your QuickBooks lists (accounts, payees, and classes) to your account so future conversions start faster. Saved lists are encrypted at rest, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live) to create an account. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

Keep your sign-in credentials confidential and tell us right away at info@quickconverter.app if you think your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Accounts are for your own use. Do not share, resell, or transfer access to the Service without our written permission.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service:

  • for any unlawful purpose or to solicit unlawful acts;
  • to infringe our or anyone else’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • to harass, abuse, defame, or discriminate against anyone based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability;
  • to upload or transmit false, misleading, or malicious content, including viruses or other harmful code;
  • with statements, records, or account data you do not have the right to use, or to access accounts or information that are not yours;
  • to scrape, crawl, spider, phish, or collect the personal information of others, or to interfere with or circumvent the security features, rate limits, or paywall of the Service;
  • to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without our express written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, as described in Section 19.

6. Saved QuickBooks lists and your data

Saving your QuickBooks lists is optional. We store only the account, payee, and class names, types, and hierarchy you choose to save, plus the contact details needed to match payees. We never store Social Security numbers, tax IDs, bank account numbers, or account balances from your lists, and the import process discards them. This mirrors the Privacy Policy.

Your statements, lists, and accounting data remain yours. You can delete your account and all server-side data any time from Account → Delete Account, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Subscriptions, billing, and auto-renewal

QuickConverter is a paid subscription. Plans, pricing, and billing periods are shown at checkout before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly, or annually where an annual plan is offered) unless you cancel before the renewal date. The price and renewal date are always available in your account under the Subscription section.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers. By subscribing, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period for the plan price shown at checkout, plus any applicable taxes. If a charge fails, we may retry it, and we may pause or end your access until the balance is paid.

If we change the price of your plan, we will give you at least 7 days’ (and no more than 30 days’) advance notice of the new price by email, together with information on how to cancel, before the change takes effect. Continuing after the notice period means you accept the new price.

8. Free trial

Every new subscription starts with a 30-day free trial. No charges occur during the trial. We may ask for a payment method up front so your subscription continues smoothly after the trial.

If you do not cancel during the trial, your subscription continues automatically at the regular plan price shown at checkout (currently $10 per month), and renews each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time during the trial from Account → Subscription → Cancel Subscription, or by emailing support@quickconverter.app — see Section 9.

9. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription any time, yourself, without calling or emailing us first:

  1. Sign in at quickconverter.app.
  2. Open Account and select the Subscription section.
  3. Select “Cancel Subscription” and confirm.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period, and you keep access through that date. You can also email support@quickconverter.app and we will cancel for you and confirm by reply. We will never obstruct, delay, or make you jump through hoops to cancel. Deleting your account also cancels any active subscription immediately (see Section 19).

10. Refund and cancellation policy

Effective January 2026 (originally November 19, 2024). This section is the refund and cancellation policy referenced in Section 7.

30-day trial period

All new subscriptions are eligible for a 30-day trial period. You may cancel your subscription at any point during this trial to avoid any charges.

Post-trial cancellations and refunds

Once the 30-day trial period has concluded, your monthly or annual subscription charges are considered final and are not reversible. We do not offer refunds for any monthly or annual plan payments made after the initial 30-day trial period has ended.

How to request a refund

If you require a refund after the initial 30-day trial period, you can submit your request by:

  1. Emailing our customer support team directly at support@quickconverter.app. We’re cool, just ask.
  2. Using the feedback contact form available anywhere on our website.

Refunds are not guaranteed, but we make accommodations when we see fit. If a refund is granted, the funds are automatically sent back to the original payment method used for the purchase.

How to cancel your subscription

The self-serve steps in Section 9, or:

  1. Emailing our support team at support@quickconverter.app.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on providers we do not control: Stripe processes payments; Microsoft Azure delivers transactional email; the site is hosted on infrastructure we lease from Vultr. Their own terms and policies govern their services. We are not responsible for third-party content, sites, or services linked from or used through the Service, and any dealings you have with them are solely between you and them.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, the site, and all related content, branding, and code are owned by A Robot Can Dream and protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own accounting purposes.

Your statements, QuickBooks lists, and accounting data remain your property. Nothing in these Terms gives us ownership of your data.

13. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or other submissions about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide license to use them to improve and promote the Service, with no obligation to compensate you or keep them confidential. You keep ownership of your feedback.

14. Output accuracy and no professional advice

Statement conversion is automated and imperfect. Formatting, encoding, and bank-specific quirks can affect results. Always review converted files before importing them into your books — you remain responsible for the accuracy of your records. QuickConverter is not accounting, tax, or legal advice, and we are not your accountant.

15. Service availability and changes

We work hard to keep QuickConverter fast and available, but we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of material changes or discontinuation that affect active subscribers. Prices and features are subject to change; see Section 7 for price-change notice.

16. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that converted output will be accurate or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these may not apply to you.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, A Robot Can Dream and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost savings, or loss of data, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the first event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of certain damages, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless A Robot Can Dream and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by a third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, or your use of the Service with data you had no right to use.

19. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account any time from Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account also cancels any active subscription immediately; deletion itself is not a refund request — see Section 10.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms (for example, the acceptable-use rules in Section 5), or if we are required to by law. Where practical, we will tell you beforehand and give you a chance to fix the problem. Obligations and liabilities incurred before termination survive.

20. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.

Informal resolution first. For any dispute, claim, or controversy between you and us (a “Dispute”), you agree to try to resolve it informally before starting arbitration: email your claim to info@quickconverter.app with a description of the issue, the relief you seek, and your contact details. We will do the same if we have a Dispute with you. Both sides will try to resolve the Dispute within 30 days. Neither side may start formal proceedings within that period unless the claim qualifies for small-claims court.

Binding arbitration. If the informal process does not resolve the Dispute, you and we agree that it will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, held in Orange County, California, and conducted in English. You may instead bring qualifying claims in small-claims court in Orange County, California, if you prefer. Nothing in this section prevents either side from seeking urgent injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information, or from filing claims that under applicable law cannot be arbitrated.

Arbitration fees. If you initiate arbitration, we will cover the filing fee if it exceeds the cost of filing in court. If the arbitrator finds your claim frivolous or brought for an improper purpose, we may recover our reasonable attorneys’ fees and arbitration costs from you.

30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing info@quickconverter.app within 30 days of the date you first accept these Terms, stating your name and that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms.

No class actions. Disputes must be brought in each party’s individual capacity only — not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of class or representative proceeding. You and we each waive any right to a trial by jury.

Severability of this section. If a court or arbitrator finds the class-action waiver or any part of this section unenforceable, the remainder of this section will be severed and the rest of these Terms will still apply; the parties may then pursue the Dispute in the courts described below.

Court proceedings. For claims that are not resolved by arbitration and are not subject to small-claims court, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.

21. Changes to these terms

The current version of these Terms is always on this page. We may update, change, or replace them at any time by posting a revised version here and updating the effective date above. For material changes to subscription terms, we will give reasonable advance notice (by email or a notice in the Service) including how to cancel, and Section 7 governs price changes specifically. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms; if you do not agree, cancel and stop using the Service.

22. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the rest of these Terms will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the refund and cancellation policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreements or understandings. You may not assign these Terms or your account to anyone else without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you. Any ambiguities in these Terms will not be construed against the drafting party.
